  4. Speris Legacy can be hard-drive installed. If you require this, there are
  5. two ways of going about the procedure:-
  6.  
  7. 1) Expert mode - This is for users who have some knowledge of Amiga Dos.
  8.                  Just follow the instructions below.
  9.  
  10. 2) Amateur mode - Obtain the hard-drive installer disk from Team17 direct.

  26. a) Make a directory on your hard-drive called `SPERIS'.
  27. b) Copy files from all of the disks to the directory (making sure that the
  28.    directories are copied across properly). You will need to copy the files
  29.    contained in the `LIBS' directory of disk 1 into the `LIBS' directory of
  30.    your boot partition on your hard-drive.
  31. c) Assign `SPERIS-1:', `SPERIS-2:', `SPERIS-3:' and `SPERIS-4:' to the
  32.    directory. Enter the assigns in your `startup-sequence' file (located in 
  33.    the `s' directory of your boot partition). 
  34. d) Reset the machine and type `SPERIS-1:Speris.Exe' and the game will load.
  35.  
  36. N.B. If you have only a base A1200 without any fast ram you may need to
  37.      take additional steps to make the game run properly. The best way of
  38.      freeing up some memory is to load up Power-Packer and decrunch the
  39.      `Speris.Exe' file, writing it back down again in the same place with
  40.      the same name. If the game still refuses to load you may need to
  41.      remove external peripherals such as printers, extra disk drives etc.
  42.      Booting with no startup-sequence also can make a difference, if you
  43.      do this make sure you re-enter the four assigns listed in (c). Also
  44.      try disabling the device `CC0:' from the boot-menu as this frees up
  45.      approximately 20k. Any further problems simply contact Team17 and we
  46.      will try our best to help you.
